🧠 Understanding the Styles: Direct vs. Indirect

β€œI thought I was being clear. What happened?”

β€œThey nodded, but did the opposite. Did they lie?”

I understand nothing giphy

To understand global audiences, ask yourself these 5 questions:

1. What's my communication style?

The first step is understanding what lense you're using to understand the world. Are you direct or indirect? Take the quiz! πŸ“

2. What are their priorities?

β†’ Direct communicators: clarity, speed, and efficiency.

β†’ Indirect communicators: politeness, relationships.

3. What does 'respect' mean to them?

β†’ Direct communicators: being transparent and efficient.

β†’ Indirect communicators: preserving harmony.

4. How do they say 'no'?

β†’ Direct communicators: no, I don't know, I disagree.

β†’ Indirect communicators: yes, I will try, maybe.

5. What are they not saying?

Pay attention to body language, pauses, and actions.
