Why are we searching for a Senior Sales Manager?

Our sales team is growing in size and developing in reach, which is why we need an experienced sales manager to help lead our small sales and account team to the next level. The global corporate learning marketplace is a dynamic and rapidly growing environment (expected growth of $35+ Billion between 2021-2025) which is opening opportunities for many young, agile companies like ours.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is looking to have a significant long-term impact at an early-stage startup. You will be working closely with leadership to build the foundations for a robust and sustainable sales operation. The new Senior Sales Manager will be someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of the sales cycle, develop our team, and push Talaera to reach the next level in our growth.

Role & Responsibilities:


  • Ultimately responsible for setting and achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for Talaera
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our global customer base and contributes to Talaera's vision in close collaboration with the CEO
  • Explore and implement technologies that will increase operational efficiencies across the sales team
  • Manage, coach and grow the sales and account management team
  • Define sales goals and ensure company quotas and standards are met
  • Develop and foster a metrics-driven approach across the team
  • Collaborate across functions to improve lead quality and conversion
  • Quickly test new ideas with the team by combining data and insight to learn and innovate rapidly
  • Identify new international customer opportunities
  • Increase Talaera’s presence within international corporate learning markets and drive client awareness
  • Conduct sales demos to prospective customers
  • May be required to travel for purposes of attending sales incentive trips, ongoing training and/or area meetings

What You Bring:


  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales
  • A proven track record of success in different parts of the sales cycle
  • Experience managing and scaling small teams
  • Experience motivating and leading a sales team towards ambitious goals
  • Comfortability operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive experience with CRM systems
  • A detail-oriented and organised approach to your work
  • Self-motivated, creative and can-do attitude
  • Ability to work and perform with minimal oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Cross-cultural understanding and high emotional intelligence as you will be working with international customers
  • Previous experience selling to HR and/or L+D departments a huge plus
  • Experience working with startups
